Respect is key to any relationship… including yourself. When you respect yourself, you make it your priority, your mission to take care of yourself, to do whatever is best for you.

I don’t mean putting everyone and everything on a backburner, nor forgetting about everyone else just to please yourself, but to take care of yourself, so you have the energy to “give” to those you love and care about. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first, and that means – respect yourself.

Whatever that means for you. It could be any of these listed below or anything else that feels good for you:

  • Take a walk in nature
  • Meditate
  • Read
  • Take a nap
  • Yoga
  • Massage
  • Eat something you love
  • Do anything else that you love and that feels good

I know a lot of people who put themselves on the “back seat” and then what happens??! A total burnout, anxiety, and depression. Respect yourself enough to know you deserve the very best!
