When you have read: “This could be the day you stop doing that self-destructive thing you do”, what was the first thing you thought of? Or maybe several things? Now write it down.

Can you imagine what your life would be like if you stopped doing that thing(s) right now? What will your life look like? How would you feel? What would you look like? What will be your surroundings? What kind of relationships will you have? Think of all possible details of your life if you stopped doing this self-destructive behavior(s). Think of the future: what would your life be like in 1, 5, 10 years?

How would you like to achieve this, live this life you have just imagined? Do you need assistance getting there?

There is nothing wrong in asking for someone’s help because if you could have stopped this behavior on your own, you probably already would have.
