Spread the love

Don’t ever be discouraged by your failures, as they are not failures, they are lessons. They promote our personal growth. We learn from our, so-called, failures substantially more than from our successes.

I used to be terrified of failure. Any time I would come close to failure (often it was only an illusion), I would freak out and put myself down, beat myself up, get discouraged, and get so disappointed in myself… It would impact my mood, my sleep, my relationships, and my health… And most of the time, there was absolutely no reason for feeling the way I felt, there was no trace of failure or any kind of mistake on my behalf. It was just my imagination… 🙂

I am a changed person now. The only way for me to fail in these times is if I didn’t learn anything from the current experience. When something happens that I would consider being a failure before, I ask myself: “What can I learn from this? What kind of lesson in this for me?” And the answer is not always obvious nor quick; it might take a few hours, a day, or even a week…

After I have changed my meaning of the “failure”, my quality of life has improved drastically. I started taking actions in life that I would never dare before. There are so many new opportunities out there as soon as we change some meanings.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Welcome it instead. If you are not failing, you are not growing.

“No man ever achieved worthwhile success, who did not, at one time or other, find himself with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure.” Napoleon Hill
