Reduce Stress in 60 Seconds

Reduce Stress in 60 Seconds

I am going to show you a quick and easy way to reduce stress in 60 seconds. It will be a breathing exercise.

All it takes is one minute to change your state. If you have more time, I suggest spending 3-5 minutes on it. But you will see a significant stress reduction in just 1 minute.

A very simple breathing exercise that you can use to help reduce stress and anxiety, soothe your mind and lower your heart rate and blood pressure is to inhale for 4 seconds through your nose and exhale for 6 seconds through your mouth. It’s that simple! 🙂

Something to remember is that you should breathe slowly into your lower abdomen on the inhale. Your stomach should expand when you inhale and contract when you exhale.

Another variation of this exercise is to inhale for 4 seconds through your nose, hold for 2 seconds, and exhale for 6 seconds through your mouth.

You can play around with different variations yourself and see what works the best for you. You can increase inhale and exhale times, just make sure that exhale is longer than inhale time. And the reason for this is that a long exhale triggers the body’s natural relaxation response.

We can’t control external factors, but we can be always in control of the thoughts that we choose to think and the actions that we take. Live your life on your terms. Become your own healer!

Till next time,
