Regardless of what your goals are in life, the first step to achieving any of them is to be nice to yourself. Start by being kind, patient, and understanding. Treat yourself like you would a child or close friend. Speak to yourself as you would to someone you love and respect. Listen and get in touch with your inner dialogue. If it’s anything less than loving, encouraging, and supportive, it’s time to make a change. You deserve to be spoken to in the same way you would speak to your best friend, lover, or child.

Remember that you are already enough. You don’t have to do anything or be anyone to be enough. Give yourself a break, a little more love, and a lot more compassion. I am sure you are doing a great job, and just not acknowledging it enough.

Make a part of your morning routine to tell yourself something really positive. Remember the past few days and think of the time when you handled a situation well; think how lovely you look today. Remember anything, from the past or present, that will put a smile on your face.

And it is very important to stop comparing yourself to others and feeling inadequate or not enough because of that. There is no one on this planet like you are, so you cannot fairly compare yourself to someone else. The only person you should compare yourself to is you. The only person you should strive to be better than is you from yesterday. Embrace and love the things that make you different. This is what makes you special.
